Lawmakers Can Ensure Better Distribution of 774,000 Jobs -Senator Ifeanyi Ubah

The lawmaker representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah has condemned what he described as the rascality displayed by minister of state for labour and employment,  Festus Keyamo while appearing before a National Assembly joint committee on labour.

Keyamo was on Tuesday involved in a heated debate with members of the committees, on the procedure for the selection of beneficiaries for the 774,000 jobs in the expanded public works programme of the Federal government.

Addressing newsmen in Abuja, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah who is also a member of the Senate media committee, said it was unacceptable that a junior minister could dictate to lawmakers who represent all Nigerians, how to distribute job opportunities meant for the people.

Senator Ubah had earlier on in plenary moved a motion, thanking President Muhamadu Buhari and the inspector General of police, Mohammed Adamu for establishing a new Police zonal headquarters Zone 13 in Ukpo, Dunukofia local government area of Anambra state.

Senator Ubah also moved a motion on the international day of parliamentarianism, when he noted that the parliament especially in Nigeria is the most misunderstood arm of government.
