Chief Daniel Okezie (Mezie Abia) Bags Continental Award

Chief Daniel Chimezie Okeke, has been conferred with the LEADS Africa's Patriotic Personality Award of Excellence in recognition of his exemplary commitment to corporate business investments, employment creations, local content and economic development in Africa.

Similarly, he also received a Corporate Mandate Award on behalf of Management and Staff of Swiss Spirit Hotels/ Express Concern Limited for their corporate commitment to delivering on the mandate of the firm towards Africa's Quest for development.

In his presentation, the leader of the delegation said that from information made available to them by a Special Envoy of Enquiry that visited Nigeria few months ago, it was revealed that the recipient, who is a holder of the prestigious traditional Chieftaincy title of ' _Omereoha 1 of Ututu'_ has done well in establishing business institutions that create jobs, engaged in community development and charitable deeds to the less privileged in the society.

Responding to the 7-member delegation of LEADS Africa who made the modest Courtesy Visit at his Abuja office, Chief Daniel Okeke thanked the group, and promised to continue to do more of those positive things that made him merit such prestigious continental award. He also said that his success came as a virtue of divine providence and hardwork, and the story of his life has been captured in a book he wrote. He ended by thanking LEADS and looked forward to subsequent partnerships.

The League of African Development Students (LEADS), is a pan-African student organization with headquarters in Republic of Ghana, and chapters in 25 African countries.
It creates platforms for capacity building, networking and peer review among student leaders in Africa.

The delegation is led by Morgan Gabriel (Ghana), and Regional Representative (francophone) Kobehi Thierry Kossa from Ivory Coast. Others include Tobias Clara (UNN), Otaru Mohammed (FUTMinna), Abigail Tayabu (Unijos), Oghenekome Friends (Benin) and the organization's Secretary-General - Osisiogu Enyinnaya.
