Suspected Boko Haram Insurgents Attack Parts Of Yobe 

Suspected Boko Haram insurgents have tried to force their way into parts of Damaturu the Yobe state capital.

According to an eyewitness who confirmed the attack to Channels Television, the insurgents stormed the town, along Gashua road near the Police Force Headquarters around 5.30 pm on Sunday.

Meanwhile, reports say some fighter jets have been deployed to counter the insurgents and bring normalcy to the town.

As at the time of filing this report, the attack was still ongoing and residents have fled home for safety.

The Army Spokesman and the Police Public Relations Officer PPRO are yet to pick calls and no reply to text messages sent.
