Buhari Appoints New Police IG Mohammad Abubakar Adamu

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed a new Inspector General of Police, Mr. Mohammad Abubakar Adamu. Punch reports that Buhari decorated the new Inspector General of Police at the State House, Abuja on Tuesday.
He was assisted by the immediate past Police IG, Ibrahim Kpotun Idris.
The new IG hails from Nasarawa.
Earlier on Tuesday, the President and cabinet ministers had held an emergency Federal Executive Council meeting in Abuja.
The agenda of the meeting, which took place at the Presidential Villa, was unknown.
