Senator Ifeanyi Ararume's Democracy Day Message To Imolites

Happy Democracy Day Ndi Imo

As we mark Democracy Day today, I salute the courage, industry, and doggedness of our people in protecting our democracy and it's institutions since our return to civil rule.

We might not have gotten to our intended destination as a people but we are on course. Mr. President is determined to fight corruption and ensure democracy dividends are enjoyed by all with massive gains in agriculture, infrastructure, fight against corruption and accountability in governance etc. We must support Mr. President to do more as he means well for Nigerians.

In our home state of Imo, we are determined to ensure that the vestiges of nepotism and corruption are eradicated to usher in a government that will work primarily in the interest of the people of Imo State and her resident's.

I call on all those yet to obtain their voter's card to do so as their vote is an avenue to put a stop to impunity in government and to ensure that a leadership led by men with proven and outstanding record of service, high pedigree and integrity with verifiable means of income, are voted into power.

I salute our civil and public servants, students, pensioners, traders and indeed, all Imolites and call for perseverance. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

Let's Restore Imo Again.

Signed:

Ik Ogbonna

Media Adviser to Senator Ifeanyi Godwin Araraume
