NLC Demands Justice For Slain Labour Leader

The Nigeria Labour Congress NLC has demanded an
accelerated and full investigation into the murder of
Comrade Mallam Abdulmumuni who was until his death the
branch  Chairman of the Non-Academic Staff Union of
Science Technology Technical Education Board, Kogi state.

Abdulmumuni was reportedly killed by unknown gunmen in
Okene, Kogi State while negotiations between labour leaders
and the state government continued in order to resolve the
prolonged industrial action in the state.

While condemning what he described as cold blooded killing,
NLC President Ayuba Wabba in a statement said effort must
be made to bring the killers and their sponsors to justice, no
matter who they are.

Organized labour insisted that the murder of Abdulmumuni
must not be allowed to join the list of unsolved murder cases
in the state while also calling for a stop to such killings.
