Parliamentary Press Corps Of Ghana Congratulates New Executives of Nigeria's Senate Press Corps

CONGRATULATION MESSAGE TO THE NEWLY ELECTED PRINCIPAL OFFICERS OF THE SENATE PRESS CORPS, NATIONAL ASSEMBLY, NIGERIA.

On behalf of the Executives and the entire membership of the Parliamentary Press Corps of Ghana, I would like to congratulate you, Mr. Ezrel Tabiowo, Chairman and all the newly elected principal officers of the Senate Press Corps of the National Assembly, Nigeria.

As members of the inky fraternity and journalists who disseminate information from Parliament or the Senate House to the general public, we see it as a feather in our cap when we use the legal and legitimate means to elect our new leaders.

It might interest you to know that, a section of the public, especially those in the rural areas respect and see journalists as professionals, who are supposed to know everything under the sun and every word from their “mouth” is taken as the gospel truth.

It is in this spirit that, I commend the newly elected principal officers and the electorates for not using any foul and violent means but the legitimate process to elect new officers.

I wish you all the best in your two-year term of office and it is my hope that, in the coming years, we will find opportunities to deepen the bilateral relationship between us (The Parliamentary Press Corps-Ghana and the Senate Press Corps, Nigeria).

Once again congratulations to you Mr. Chairman and all the newly elected principal officers.

Nana Agyeman Birikorang
Signed
Dean, Parliamentary Press Corps
