Le Guen rejects Super Eagles job

Frenchman Paul Le Guen has reportedly rejected the Nigeria Football Federation’s offer to lead the Super Eagles as Technical Adviser.

According to reports, the 52-year-old rejected the offer because the Glass House failed to meet his terms and conditions.

Herve Penot, a reporter at L’ Euipe, wrote via his handle @hpenot_lequipe: “Paul Le Guen rejects Nigeria. Frenchman insists the country’s FA (NFF) yet to meet terms & conditions to be coach.”

The NFF on Monday named Frenchman Paul Le Guen as the new manager of the Super Eagles.

The detail was made public by the Technical and Development Committee of the Federation.

Le Guen led the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon to the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals. As a player he stared for Brest, Nantes and Paris Saint Germain and won 17 caps for France. He later coached Rennes, Lyon, PSG (in France) and Glasgow Rangers (in Scotland). He has also managed Oman.
